why should you not buy weight loss treatments over the internet?

Q. i'm doing science coursework and i've got this question to answer. You have to describe why should you buy weight loss treatments from your doctor on prescription, and the problems caused buying weight loss treatments over the internet..

A. There are reliable places you could buy them online.
But many more where you could get anything from sugar to poison, dried paint, or whatever...
with no idea how concentrated the active ingredients really are, too.
And many more reasons (like do you need these pills, drug combination effect, side effects tracking...)

How can I convince my parents to let me use HCG for weight loss?
Q. If you know of any clinics in Atlanta that use HCG weight loss treatment, I would be grateful also.

A. I don't think it's possible to convince your parents to let you try something that's not approved for the purpose you want to use it. They will be more concerned about your health than your wait.

HCG isn't a magic pill to lose weight. You still have to cut back on your calories and exercise. What HCG does is allow you to stay on a very low calorie diet (Under 800 calories a day) without the physical side effects that such an extreme diet can have, like headaches, irritablity, etc.

The problem is that with less than 1200 calories per day, you're not likely to get all the nutrients you need to stay healthy.

The other thing is that it does nothing to change your behavior. It's not something you can do forever, so you you'll eventually stop getting your injections. If you haven't changed your lifestyle by then, then you will put the weight back on.

A better plan would be to spend your money on Weight Watchers, start getting some exercise, and stop sneaking those Twinkies and Oreos in the middle of the night. Switch to a healthy life style and you won't have to worry about your weight.

Does medicare and medi-cal insurance cover any weight loss surgery or programs?
Q. I'm very obese with a very high BMI. I got medicare and medi-cal as health insurances, can they cover any weight loss treatments or surgeries?

A. Medi-Cal does NOT cover any weight loss medications, unless the pharmacy dispensing it is willing to write a TAR (Treatment Authorization Request), and that too only with a valid RX from a doctor who can provide them with a Medical Justification as to why u need such med. In other words, u need a doctor and a pharmacy willing to do a little extra work to be able to fill ur prescription for an appetite-suppressant.
If TAR is approved then they will dispense u w/the med. They'll need to know ur height/weight/BMI in order to be able to justify why taking this med could be beneficial to ur health.
As far as procedures, sorry, i have no idea.

What is the best method to lose weight fast?
Q. I am 20 pounds overweight, and I was just wondering what are some weight loss treatments, methods, etc. to lose weight fast? I am dieting already, and one of my friends told me to try slim9 diet pills. I know there are other ways in loosing weight than just using pills -__- They also recommended Herbal life, but I don't know -__-

A. Drink a lot of water (reduces appetite)

Eat healthy low calorie meals

Avoid snacking on unhealthy foods-stick to healthy low fat snacks

Excercise; do cardio.

Reduce stress levels (said to increase weight)

Avoid fizzy drinks

Increase your fibre

Eat fresh fruit instead of drinking fruit juice. Juice is often sweetened

The thing that will help the most is cardio so try and go out for a run etc
