What are good weight loss plans for couples that are free?

Q. I'm 21 and my girlfriend is 20 and we both need to lose about the same amount of weight (35lbs) and we both would like to do it together and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good weight loss plans for couples that are free cause we really don't need to lose too much. If you could help us in any way such as advice or anything it would be appreciated thank you.

A. It's most commendable that you want to work together to loose weight. That way you will each motivate the other.
Modify your diet; read the Nutrition Facts labels; eliminate junk food.
Go for walks, together. Start off with short walks such as just around the block, then extend by going around 2 or 3 blocks. Explore your neighborhood, on foot; reverse the direction of your walks for some variety.
Consider bicycling. It has minimal impact on the body's joints; it increases your metabolism; and it extends your range of physical activity.

How does this weight loss plan stack up?
Q. Ok so I want to lose weight, plain and simple. I've done the research and I know what to do so thus, I have come up with my own weight loss plan and would like some opinions on it. Here it is:

First off, I am an 18 year old male, about 5'8" and roughly 190 lbs. I have lowered my daily calorie intake to roughly 1500 with a diet consisting mainly of salads, fruits, grilled chicken with small healthy snacks dispersed throughout the day. I would only drink water and green tea. So all in all, I would be eating every four or so hours (to keep the metabolism going).

I would also be working out every day for about an hour performing about 30 mins of eliptical aerobics and about 30 mins of a full body workout. (My goal here is to tone, not really body build.)

My only concern with my plan is the daily calorie intake. Is it too low? I figured that 1500 from food minus about 500 from working out would only give me a net of 1000, roughly. My goal is to get to 170 lbs, at least, in two months.
But the weird thing is, even though the calorie in take is pretty low, I don't feel as hungry as I thought I would be...

But ok. If I increase the daily calorie intake to 2000, roughly, would I still be losing weight and toning my body fairly well? I would like to lose at least TWO pounds a week.

A. That is too low, try at least 1900, considering your weight. Also, drop the green tea, at least too often. Teas are diuretic and will not help with the eight glasses of water, you will need to increase your water consumption for each glass of tea you drink. Doesn't sound like much, but that much water is very hard to drink everyday.

Will coffee intefere with my weight loss plan?
Q. I am on a weight loss plan to shed about 35 pounds this year. Will drinking a cup of coffee every day slow down my weight loss? I assume that it would be better to use low-fat and low-sugra sweeteners. Any ideas?

A. the caffine will help, given you use no calorie sweetner and skim milk

Where can I find a good weight loss plan?
Q. I am 19 and I am 5'5" and I am going to start on april 1 2008, and I want to go from 237 lbs to 130-135 lbs by middle of July to the beginning of August 2008, can somebody help me with finding a weight loss plan that will help with that goal.
I need somthing that I can view or do for free

A. What your asking for will harm you more than do you good in the long run.

I just found out my scale is 5lbs off, so I was 251lbs, 50+ inch waist. Now I am 5'101/2" 174lbs, 33 inch waist. I did it with exercise and proper eating habits. I lost about 3 pounds a week, which is what you should do.

I once lost 60lbs in 60 days, literally. I gained it back plus some because I never learned discipline in what or how to eat along with exercising. This time I did it right and have kept the weight off for 6 years now. I lift weights every 2 or 3 days and exercise on a daily basis. I exercise this much because I like to eat some things that I probably shouldn't. If I didn't I wouldn't have to exercise so much.

It took you a while to put the weight on and it should take a while to lose it properly.
